Spring 2005 Internship
The Jacobs Institute of Women’s Health is a non-profit organization working to improve health care for women across their lifespan and in all populations through research, dialogue, and information dissemination. JIWH currently has openings for an unpaid semester intern. Interns work on various projects depending on the needs of the Institute. Interns will research specific women’s health issues, perform literature searches, attend briefings, draft background papers, identify topics and speakers for our health seminar series, and work on conference logistics and evaluations.
The internship is available for the spring, beginning in January. Interns should expect to work approximately 2-4 days per week. Preference is given to individuals with experience in women’s health, reproductive health, public health, or health research. Since we are a growing organization with a small staff, we look for interns who can be flexible, capable of moving from project to project, and show a willingness to help with administrative and organizational tasks.
Our current projects are listed below with a short description of potential intern responsibilities.
To apply, please send, fax, or email a resume, cover letter, and a short writing sample (no longer than 5 pages) by December 15th to:
